Successful meatloaf!

So since our milkshake breakdown, things have been going great! I know it has only been 4 days, but I can already see the difference that it makes to have Micah doing all of this with me. We have been having fun with the Wii Fit and The Biggest Loser game that I bought to go with it. It really makes you sweat! Another good thing about the BL game is that it has recipes! So last night we decided to try one. BBQ Bacon meatloaf! I know it sounds like something that would blow out your arteries, doesn't it? Well it is actually a really healthy one and it tasted really good! Instead of using beef, you use ground chicken or turkey breast. Instead of white bread crumbs, it is old fashioned oats! Turkey bacon instead of regular bacon and voila! You have a really good meatloaf! Micah wanted to go back for seconds, but managed to restrain himself! (Go Micah!)

It has been nice to have dinner together and actually sit at the table instead of in front of  the t.v.. I hope that we keep the momentum going and really make this change for all of us!

Happy Spring, by the way!

2 months later and still on the same boat...

Well that was a crock of shit now wasn't it??? Now you see what I mean about going into things with gusto and then not following through! Anyways, let's move on. So we have started up again and this time, Micah is on board. Kind of. We went and got a Wii fit game on Sunday and both played on it yesterday. It is a pretty good workout if you really get into it. Then we had grilled chicken, salad, and couscous for dinner. That was pretty good for us. Then Micah says, "hey I would sure like a milk shake." ENABLER!!! Of course, being Miss Fatso Ice Cream addict USA, I said "let's go!" And off we went to Iceberg to get our fat asses some shakes! I'm not gonna lie, it was delicious! I savored every bite I took and considered it my "farewell" to the place, at least for a while.  I guess we just have to take baby steps. I really think that if we can both commit 100%, we can do well. And I know having him on the same page as I am, I can do a lot better. Oh, another fun fact. I am not cool enough to be on The Biggest Loser! My pal Lacee and I went to the audition a couple of weeks ago. It was an experience to be remembered. Getting up at 2 am to get ready and having her pick me up at 3! Then we sat in the cold and rain outside of the E Center from 4am to 8am. If nothing else, it provided us with some great people watching! I mean, who doesn't enjoy seeing the fat guy in front of you have his big ole ass crack hanging out when he stands up? And then watching him break his camp chair when he sat in it? I am not being mean, I promise. The guy was a total dink and thought he knew everything, so I have a right to poke fun!!! After sitting outside for 4 hours, we get inside and fill out a stupid little questionnaire. They then take a group of people to an interview room and divide you into groups of 12. I really don't know how they pick out anyone, because we weren't in the group for more than 10 minutes. The questions they asked were not in depth at all. Name, age, and occupation. What is one thing that I wouldn't know just by looking at you? Why is now the time for you to do this (in one word)? Pretty basic stuff. Anyways, we didn't get a call back. Oh well , it was an interesting morning anyways.  So here I am, fat as ever. I really can do this! I promise. It just takes a while for me to get started...
